Welcome to Bear It In Mind. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our websites and services, including www.bearitinmind.org and any associated subdomains, content platforms, or digital resources (collectively referred to as the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By accessing or using any part of the Service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation or institution, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All content provided through the Service—including videos, downloadable materials, written resources, presentations, illustrations, and logos—is the intellectual property of Bear it in Mind and/or its content creators and is protected by UK and international copyright laws.

No part of the content may be copied, shared, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any form or by any means for commercial use without prior written permission from Bear it in Mind. This includes but is not limited to using materials in paid courses, uploading to third-party platforms, or reproducing content under a different brand.

We actively monitor unauthorised use and reserve the right to take legal action against individuals or organisations that breach our copyright.

4. License and Access

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

You may:

  • Access and view content for personal educational purposes.

  • Download materials that are explicitly marked for download and personal use only.

You may not:

Share, copy, or distribute login credentials or downloadable content with others.

Use content for public performances, staff training, workshops, or in institutional settings without prior agreement or an institutional licence.

Use content to create derivative works without written permission.

Bear it in Mind is provided without any warranties or guarantees unless explicitly stated. While we may include links to external websites or third-party resources, we cannot accept responsibility for their content, availability, or accuracy. The presence of these links does not imply that Bear it in Mind endorses the websites, their products, services, or any material they contain.

We make every effort to ensure the information provided on this website is accurate and up to date. However, Bear it in Mind makes no representations or warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of any content, including content accessed through links to third-party sites.

Any decisions or actions taken based on the information found on this website are entirely at your own discretion. The resources and guidance provided by Bear it in MIND do not constitute legal, educational, or professional advice, and users should seek independent advice where appropriate.

 

5. User Accounts and Access

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to register and create a user account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

The internet is not a completely secure medium of communication. Bear it in Mind is not and will not be responsible for any damages you may suffer as a result of the loss of confidentiality or unauthorised access to personal information transmitted via the internet.

If you register your details with Bear it in Mind —including, but not limited to, subscribing to email updates or creating an account—you confirm that the information you provide is true, correct, and complete. Providing false or misleading information may result in suspension or termination of your account.

You agree not to:

  • Share your account with others.

  • Use another user’s account without permission.

  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent access controls on the platform.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Bear it in Mind website and services at any time, particularly if we believe your use may interrupt, damage, reduce the efficiency of, or otherwise impair the performance or security of the service.

To protect the integrity of Bear it in MIND, we reserve the right to share user contact details with law enforcement or relevant regulatory authorities if formally requested to do so. We may also provide such information if a complaint is made regarding your use of the service and that use is, in our view, inconsistent with these user terms.

If you have purchased an individual Master of the MIND membership and your school subsequently subscribes to a School Licence, we are unable to offer refunds for any existing individual memberships.

6. Educational & Institutional License

Educational institutions or professional organisations may purchase a school licence.

School Licence

a)        Licence Overview
This School Licence grants educational institutions non-exclusive access to Bear it in MIND’s A-Level Psychology digital resources for use within their school community. It is intended strictly for internal, educational purposes only.

b)        What's Included

o   Full access to all resources included in the Individual Membership tiers (Apprentice, Scholar, or Master of the MIND).

o   Login access for one lead teacher or administrator per licence.

o   Permission to display and use resources in classroom settings, including lessons, assemblies, revision sessions, and staff training.

c)        Permitted Use
Under this licence, the licensed school may:

o   Share materials with enrolled students and staff within the licensed school.

o   Use resources during lessons, revision classes, or internal professional development.

o   Print and distribute copies of materials for use within the physical school environment.

d)        Restrictions
The licensed school may not:

o   Share login credentials with individuals who are not designated users under the licence.

o   Publish or distribute Bear it in MIND resources on public platforms, websites, or social media.

o   Resell, sublicense, or reproduce the resources for use by external organisations or individuals.

o   Continue to access or use the resources after the licence term has expired unless the licence is renewed.

e)        Term & Renewal

o   School Licences are valid for 12 months from the date of activation.

o   A renewal reminder will be sent 30 days before expiry.

o   Continued use after the expiration date requires the purchase of a renewed licence.

f)           Support & Access

o   Technical support and access to updated resources are included for the duration of the licence period.

o   Bear it in MIND reserves the right to update, revise, or replace content as needed, particularly in response to curriculum or specification changes.

g)         Termination

o   We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access if these terms are breached.

o   Refunds are not available once access has been granted, except where agreed in writing in exceptional circumstances.

7. Commitment to Bear it in MIND

You agree that you will only use the Bear it in MIND service in a manner consistent with these Terms of Use and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. In particular, you agree not to use the service to transmit or post any material that is defamatory, offensive, obscene, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate, or that may, in our judgment, cause inconvenience, distress, or harm to any person or to the integrity of the service.

To the extent that your use of the service—or the use by any person authorised by you or for whom you are responsible (such as a student, teacher, parent, or guardian)—results in loss or damage to Bear it in MIND, or to any other person, you agree to indemnify Bear it in MIND immediately upon request. This includes, but is not limited to, compensation for any legal, administrative, or technical costs incurred as a result of such actions.

You acknowledge that all materials, content, and resources provided through Bear it in MIND are for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not share, copy, distribute, or use any part of the service or its content for commercial purposes without obtaining prior written consent from Bear it in MIND.

Your use of this service does not grant you any rights in relation to the copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property owned by Bear it in MIND or its content creators.

 

8. Workshops, Training & Events

By signing up for a Bear It In Mind event or workshop, you agree to:

Respect confidentiality and safety in all discussions and group settings.

Not record, photograph, or share content from live events unless explicitly allowed. 

Cancellations must be made [insert time window] in advance. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel events with notice and offer alternatives or refunds as appropriate.

 

9. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

  • Use the Service in any way that may damage, disable, or impair it.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its servers.

  • Post or transmit any offensive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate material.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove access if a user violates these conditions or behaves in a way that harms the integrity of the platform or community.

 

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Bear It In Mind provides educational content and resources for general well-being, awareness, and support purposes. We do not offer clinical, diagnostic, or medical advice, and no information on this site should be considered a substitute for professional mental health services. Always seek guidance from qualified professionals for personal or urgent issues.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free. Bear It In Mind is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Payments, Refunds & Cancellations

Payments for digital access, events, or resources must be made in advance via the website or invoice. Auto-renewing subscriptions may be cancelled before the end of the current billing cycle to avoid additional charges.

 

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or revise these Terms at any time. All changes will take effect immediately upon being posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your agreement to be bound by the revised Terms.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

 

13. Psychology Content

Every effort has been made to ensure that all content on the Bear it in MIND website – including videos, downloadable resources, and quizzes – is accurate, up to date, and relevant to the AQA A Level Psychology specification.

If you spot any errors or something that doesn’t look quite right, please get in touch so we can review and correct it where needed.

We always recommend checking the latest specification and guidance published by your exam board to ensure you are studying the correct topics for your exams. While we aim to cover all required material, some content may still be in development or not yet published at the time of your exam.
